When the mujahideen marched into Kabul in 1992 , they ripped up electricity and telephone cables , looted our national museum and stripped more than 400 textile factories of their machinery and took it to Pakistan . मुजाहिदीन फौज जब 1992 में काबुल फंची तो बिजली और टेलीफोन के तार काट दिए गए.हमारे राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय को लूट लिया गया और 400 से अधिक कपड़ मिलं की मशीनें उ आकर पाकिस्तान ले जाई गईं .

May 19, 2003 update: Although the first reports, cited above, of looting of the national museum turned out to be exaggerated, the Iraqi pillaging of their own patrimony continued apace over a month later. A May 19, 2003 report from Basra University recounts how “a library that professors say contained two million volumes dating back to 1015 is a mess of twisted metal shelves atop ashes from the books set ablaze by looters. The blue dome that professors say housed the oldest astronomy department in the Middle East is still there, but inside there is nothing but rubble. The law school, the economics department, the art school, the Arabic studies wing - all are ruined. The damage goes beyond what would be caused in mere burglary, crossing over into wanton destruction.” It is hard to see how the occupying forces could be everywhere to prevent this Iraqi penchant for self-destruction. कुवैत में- जब कुवैत इराकी प्रान्त था तो इराकी सेनाओं ने राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय को लूटा, ताराग्रह में आग लगा दी , पुस्तकालयों में तोड़-फोड़ की इसके अलावा सांस्कृतिक ढांचे को नष्ट किया।
